January 2020- Week Ending 12th

This Thursday we have invited Des Connors to present a collection of his work to the club members, as outlined previously this is a significant guest who will be travelling some distance from County Cavan for our benefit. It would, therefore, be appropriate that we support this important evening in the club calendar. You may wish to bring family members or friends.

The entry to R3 is to be judged on Monday the 13th and the adjudication will take place in Parkhall Integrated School Steeple Road Antrim BT41 1AF on Wednesday the 22nd of January at 7.30pm. These events are designed specifically to provide club members with a presentation of all entries and feedback on the images entered. Significant time is committed to the running of these evenings, your support would be appreciated if you are available to attend.

As a reminder, the next competition round takes place on Thursday the 23rd January on the theme of “Transport”.

The Inter-Regional Natural History competition takes place at Oxford Island on Saturday the 18th of January at 1.00pm, again this is a significant competition with an excellent presentation of high quality images, judged and adjudicated by an international photographer.

The NIPA Exhibition is running at the Island Arts Centre in Lisburn until the 1st of February, many have already seen the images, however, this venue is worth a visit as the display / presentation of the images is exceptional. With 14 prints of Westcourt on display in the 100 images its well worth advising family and friends to visit.

Finally, if any members have points of concern or require clarification on any aspect of NIPA activities or competition they should be brought directly to the attention of your club council member.
