Thursday 5th October

The President of NIPA Vittorio Silvestri presented a great selection of archive images from the association tonight, it was great to see a full attendance and the evening proved both interesting with lots of conversation on the images presented. Grateful to Vittorio for his significant work in presenting to the club in the early part of the program. Significant in that one particular image showed the original home of one of the attendees.

Lighting and pose a good night to see the different approach to lighting images for portrait, plenty of hands-on experience with help to hand to pose for the best shot, it will be interesting to see the outcomes.

Still life setups and using a variety of objects to get a decent picture. Sharing opinion while taking time to make the image interesting and exploiting its potential. If anything members got a clear insight into a wide variety of lighting setups.

Wednesday 25th October

Great to see a good turnout of members at NIPA R1, in 6th position overall for the 1st round joint with Ards Camera Club. Starred image for Paul and Damian made it an excellent score for the first entry of Westcourt Camera Club. Danny got the right idea asking the judges to qualify their opinion on the entry. Getting on the top board is a big point and hopefully, it bodes well for the rounds ahead.

Thursday 26th October

Our thanks to Martin Courtney for taking the time to show some Photoshop skills using layers and blending to enhance a pic, taking time to go through the process with lots of support and encouragement from the team.
